Introduction to Calchemy

The best way to get to know about Calchemy is to look through a few examples and then try some problems yourself...

Calchemy works only with quantity equations. if you include unit conversion factors like the ones you may find in numeric equations, Calchemy will produce an incorrect result!
Be sure you enter all the dimensionless parameters of an equation, like pi or (4/3) correctly! Because these parameters are dimensionless, Calchemy is unable to determine if they are required, and cannot provide error detection for them.
When in Doubt, use parenthesis. Note that 2 ft^2 is NOT the same as (2 ft)^2 and 1/2 ft is not the same as (1/2) ft.
If it's important, ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RESULTS.
